GRITTY PRODUCER CHANDULAL JAIN TWIN HAPPINESS

At the twin happiness – 74th birthday and golden jubilee of his married life with Leela the veteran producer Chandulal Jain announced on Thursday afternoon that despite of ill health he is up to produce a Kannada film ‘Videshi’ in the direction of Ravindranath who had given him state award from ‘Veerappan’ Kannada film in 1990. Jain’s two sons Rajakumar and Rohit were present at the birthday party event at Green House Raj Milan.

The old horse in the Kannada filmdom Chandulal Jain with 35 films (Boothaiahna Maga Ayyu, Thabbaliyu Niaadhe Magane, Hemavathi, Praya Praya Praya, Bettele Seve, Idhu Sadhya in 48 hours, Bhaktha Siriyala, Veerappan, Gangavva Gangamaayi etc) to his credit as producer has won many state and national awards is happy today for his new subject that focuses on the richness of Indian culture and tradition. A British girl settles in India giving up the British culture – it is like Sonia Gandhi coming to India marrying Rajiv Gandhi and settling here says the sharp personality Jain.

He thanked the Karnataka people, film chamber, Dr.Raj, Varadappa, Smt.Parvathamma, D.V.Sudheendra who helped him at the right time. I was given call sheet by Dr.Raj when I spoke to him in Kannada. How can I forget those days said Jain sitting with his wife Leela who is living with Jain from last 50 years!

Sa.Ra.Govindu promised to fight and get a site for Jain very soon and said Smt.Parvathamma Rajakumar had taken interest in this issue. D.G.Venkatesh of Raghavendra Chitravani remembered the day he went with his Chikkappa Sudheendra to see the ailing Jain in the hospital and how quickly he was given honor from Sri Raghavendra Chitravani.

Veteran producer R.Lakshman advising the new crop and wishing more years for Jain said he wants to see the film ‘Videshi’ of Jain. Pal Chandani the long time companion of Jain explained the business he had done with him for many of his film.

Green House proprietor Mr Vasanna who got a bank job from Jain in the 70’s said the good humanity in Jain would give him only good life.

Journalist RG Vijayasarathy, Vijay who accidentally became an actor from Jain also spoke on this occasion. ASM anchored the birthday event of Jain in his unforgettable style.
